Atlanta Pet Rescue and Adoption

One of the most satisfying benefits of owning my own business is being able to give back to the community. Last fall, my friend and fellow filmmaker Michael Phillips and I were asked to shoot a film for APRA, Atlanta Pet Rescue and Adoption.  This short documentary was developed with the intent to raise operating capital for the shelter.  This film represents 100’s of hours of filming and editing and was shot with six Canon cameras and one GoPro mounted to a quadcopter and edited in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.

During these eight months, we had the privilege of getting a behind the scenes look at the operation and working with the amazing people and animals of APRA.  We learned that 7 million dogs and cats enter shelters in the United States each year.  Ninety thousand dogs and cats are euthanized each year in metro Atlanta alone.  APRA’s mission is to give as many animals as possible a second chance at life and to place them in loving forever homes.

Please take a moment to watch this video and share with your family and friends.

Thanks,

Jim
